Goose Control   Silhouette Racing Rescues has branched out a bit this year and found a way to keep our dogs in shape and local property owners happy. Two of our dogs, Rain and Storm, have been trained to prevent geese from gathering in large flocks on private and public land.   Storm guards the beach then moves the geese when they get too close   Using the border collie's natural herding instinct, the dogs present themselves as predators to the geese. Although the geese are never harmed, they perceive the dogs as a threat and move on. The border collie has a unique stance when working that mimics a natural predator so they are a perfect choice for this type of work.   Our new goose control website is online!
